Join our 3rd annual Community Painting Auction! The Hoosier Art Salon of New Harmony, IN is seeking local and surrounding artists to create pieces of art in any medium on provided canvases to be donated to the gallery for our Community Painting Auction!
The gallery has a stock of 8 x 10″ and 5 x 5″ canvases waiting to be covered! We provide the canvases, you create the art! Stop by the gallery to pickup or call Sara to make arrangements to get your canvas to you! We will replace any canvas with our provided sizes you donate from your own inventory.
In 2025, we over doubled our participation and raised over $1,600 funding several kids camps and activities, making them free for all kids!
Details:
- Pick up canvases Thursday & Sunday, 1:00 – 4:00 PM CST or Friday & Saturday, 12:00 – 4:00 PM CST at the New Harmony Gallery location. Contact Sara at skamman@hoosierartsalon.org for possible delivery.
- Participants do not have to be a member of the Hoosier Art Salon.
- Any subject, any medium allowed.
- Participants can create as many as they’d like!
- All ages are encouraged to participate!
- No commission will be paid out on sales as this is a fundraiser for the New Harmony gallery.
- Due to spacing, we are only providing 8 x 10″ and 5 x 5″ canvases. The 5 x 5″ canvases are used mostly to create a ‘series’ project, but not required. Example: 3 canvases used for 3 different holiday ornaments that coordinate. If you have an already completed piece outside of the sizes provided that you’d like to donate, we will accept!
- Pieces must be received by SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 6TH, 2026. Contact Sara at skamman@hoosierartsalon.org to make arrangements if you are unable to deliver.
- The auction will start on Saturday, September 19th at 12:00pm CST and end on Sunday, October 18, 2026 at 11:59 PM CST. Bidding will take place online.
- Starting bids on all donated works are $25 with a $5 increase or a Buy Now option of $125. All works will be on display at the New Harmony gallery during the auction dates and are available to bid on in person by using the QR Code attached to each piece.
- If your item does not sell, the gallery will keep and put in the following year’s auction.
- If you still have a canvas from the previous year, please use it before receiving another. Return all unused canvases.
The gallery will use the funds raised to support future exhibits, children’s programs, workshops, and the New Harmony gallery. We ask for all pieces to remain in the gallery until the auction ends.
