ARTISTS AND ART ENTHUSIASTS, JOIN US IN THE CELEBRATION OF OUR 101ST ANNUAL EXHIBITION ANNIVERSARY!
101 years of tradition! Imagine what it would have been like to attend the first Hoosier Art Salon Annual Exhibition in Chicago in 1925.
Hundreds of people attended the reception before the exhibition opened. All four living Hoosier Group members – T.C. Steele, J. Ottis Adams, Otto Stark and William Forsythe – had works displayed, along with art from Charles Dahlgreen, Frank Dudley, Frederick Polley, J. Will Vawter and Clifton Wheeler.
Fast forward through many historic years, challenging events and progress, the Hoosier Art Salon is alive and well. Hoosier Group artists would be thrilled and awed by the excellence, diversity and groundbreaking art being produced in Indiana today.
101 years of history is a big responsibility! With your help, participation and support we plan to keep the tradition alive for the next 101 years to come!
