new harmony
The New Harmony Gallery, a branch of the Hoosier Art Salon, is a nonprofit entity whose mission is to promote Indiana artists and their art. The Gallery is devoted to the town of New Harmony and delights in its contribution to the artistic, cultural, and economic viability of the area.
Dr. George Rapp and his wife, Peggy, were the principal force behind this gallery. Success with this project has been greatly enhanced by volunteers from Beta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Kappa, the New Harmony Associates and the many other residents of this area who volunteer their time and talents.
The gallery specializes in promoting Indiana artists who work in all types of mediums and skills with several different exhibits throughout the year, including the First Brush of Spring Plein Air Paint Out competition, the Clowes Collaborative, and the Annual Exhibition. Workshops are open for all members to register. All exhibited artwork is for purchase in the gallery and in our online store.
We are a not-for-profit entity.
